A fire broke out on Friday in Jebel Chenanfa, Fahs. it consumed, until 6 p.m., more than 25 hectares of maquis. Strong winds enabled the fire to spread. A civil protection official revealed that the fire broke out in three separate places, simultaneously. A point at the base of the mountain, another on the mountainside, and a third at the top.
This does not fail to raise questions about the potential criminal origin of the fires. The same person in charge confirmed that if the means of fighting against the fire succeeded in containing the fire at the base of the mountain, the two others are still burning, because of the impossibility for the interveners to reach it because of the difficulty of the terrain.
