The official spokesperson of the ISIA, Mohamed Tlili Mansri, stated that the final results of the presidential election could be revealed next Friday or Saturday (October 11 and 12) if no appeal is received, revealing that the L ‘Authority has still not received it (1 p.m.). Knowing that beginning today, there will be no more appeals involving the preliminary results of these elections.
Mansri added, today Thursday, in a declaration to the TAP, that in case no appeal is brought by candidates after the expiration of the appeal period fixed at three days from the date of the announcement of Preliminary results at the headquarters of the Commission (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), and until midnight today, the electoral commission will request to approve the final results no later than 48 hours after the expiration of these deadlines, per which is stipulated in the law.
Chapter 148 (second paragraph) of Basic Law No. 45 of 2024 modifying the electoral and referendum law stipulates: “Concerning the presidential elections, the commission announces the final results of the elections within 48 hours of its reception of the Last decision rendered by the Court of Cassation regarding the appeals linked to the first results. For the presidential elections or after the expiration of the appeal period, by a decision published on the instance website and in the Official Journal of the Tunisian Republic.
