Speaking to Mosaique FM, director of citizen relations with STEGMounir Ghabri affirmed that the large fires that broke out in Algeria have had an impact on the electricity grid in Tunisia.
These fires have generated blackouts in the border regions. This corresponded with a peak consumption never registered in Tunisia (4434 megawatts on August 9).
In addition, cuts were recorded, in particular at Bardo, due to the damage that hit generators due to the heat.
