The Ambassador of Tunisia to France, Mr. Dhia Khaled, was welcomed on April 7, 2025, at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in Paris by Mr. Thani Mohamed Soilihi, the Minister Delegate for the Francophonie and International Partnerships.

This meeting is part of a regular diplomatic dialogue between the two countries and reaffirms the strength of the relations that bind Tunis and Paris.

During this discussion, the two officials reiterated their shared commitment to strengthening the friendship between Tunisia and France through enhanced bilateral cooperation, based on shared interests and historical proximity.

A Multisectoral Cooperation
The discussions covered several key areas of cooperation, especially in the fields of economy, investment, and culture. Both parties stressed the importance of intensifying public and private partnerships, particularly in the areas of sustainable economic development, support for innovative enterprises, and the strengthening of cultural and educational exchanges.

Tunisia, which has a strong presence in the Francophone world, reiterated its commitment to multilateral Francophone cooperation initiatives while calling for a solidarity-based, inclusive approach focused on younger generations.

A Relationship of Trust in a Changing International Context
This meeting took place in a context where Euro-Mediterranean relations are gaining new strategic importance, particularly in the face of global economic challenges and geopolitical shifts. France and Tunisia voiced their desire to build a renewed partnership, both pragmatic and respectful of the specificities of each country.

Mr. Soilihi hailed Tunisia’s central role in the region and committed to maintaining close dialogue with Tunisian authorities in the implementation of bilateral projects. The Tunisian ambassador, for his part, reaffirmed Tunisia’s commitment to a relationship based on mutual trust, respect for sovereignties, and win-win cooperation.
