Civil protection units from the Gabes governorate intervened to retrieve the body of a child who drowned on Zaraate beach after swimming this morning, according to local press reports, quoting a well-informed civil protection source.
Marine Guard units arrived at the scene, authorized the transfer of the body to the medical examiner, and immediately started an investigation into the matter.
