An 80-year-old woman from El Hamma (governorate of Gabès) died this Sunday in the covid-19 service at the Gabès regional hospital, following infection by the coronavirus, said Hassine Jabrane, coordinator of the watch unit within the regional health department.
A second death was also recorded in the covid-19 intensive care unit at the Gabès regional hospital, the same source added to the TAP.
The victim is a 91-year-old native of El Hamma who suffers from a chronic illness, hence the death tally stands at 28.
8 new coronavirus contaminations were also recorded, the official said. These are 3 infections in South Gabès, 02 in Gabès town, one case in El Hamma, one case in West Gabès and another in EL Metouia.
