A COVID-19 patient died on Monday evening in the governorate of Gafsa where the death tally rose to 9 cases, according to the latest report published by the regional health directorate in Gafsa.
The deceased (52 years old) is from the El Ksar delegation and was admitted to the military hospital in Tunis.
In a statement to the TAP on Tuesday, the regional health director in Gafsa, Salem Nasri stressed that 23 new contaminations were detected bringing the total number of carriers of the virus to 242 people in the region.
