The Union of General Practitioners in Public Health has called on all general practitioners responsible for vaccination for COVID-19 to boycott the national campaign.
According to the union, this resolution arises after the decisions of the Ministry of Health, correlating to giving financial and legal advantages in favour of certain specialities, consequently the creation of tensions within the sector. Other reasons for the decision include a lack of human resources and the failure to respect the salary scale.
Meantime, the Union highlighted the requests of doctors for the amendment of government decree No. 341 which were ignored by the authorities. As a result, all general practitioners involved in the vaccination sessions were called on to boycott the campaign until their demands were satisfied.
