The Tunisian Order of Engineers declared a set of new decisions in the face of government intransigence, including:
- Continuation of the general strike by engineers in the public sector while asking the administration to shoulder the responsibility for the consequences of this measure on the economy and national security.
- The organization of a 3 days strike from May 17, 2021, for civil service engineers and boycotting all government, regional and local meetings.
- Call on all design offices and consulting engineers to boycott all government projects, especially about works supervision and the signing of documents from May 17, 2021.
- Calling engineering instructors to carry the red armband for 3 days from May 17, 2021.
According to the same source, the Order of Engineers called on the government to assume its responsibility for the consequences that might have on the proper functioning of crucial sectors.
