A man working as a guard at Tafernin Primary School set himself on fire on Tuesday evening in front of Sidi Jedidi Middle School, located in the Hammamet delegation of Nabeul Governorate.
Emergency services quickly transferred him for medical treatment after he suffered burns to his neck and hands. Fortunately, his condition is reported to be stable. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
According to a local source, the man self-immolated in protest against his expulsion from the school where he had been employed.
