Qalb Tounes strongly encourages the efforts exercised by national organisations in the government formation consultations, said Qalb Tounes MP and leader Hatem Mliki in a declaration to the TAP agency. The party further supports any resolution directed at attaining a solution to the crisis, he said.
Qalb Tounes supports the deliberations, even if it is not included in it, he affirmed, pointing out that his party will accept the invitation of Prime Minister-designate Elyes Fakhfakh if it happens.
Additionally, Mliki pointed out that his party is against the parliament dissolution and withdrawing confidence from Caretake PM .
The party values the President of the Republic’s position concerning this matter; “the President of the Republic ensures compliance with the Constitution and is the guarantor of the country’s stability.”
He called for making the national interest prevail and stay away from narrow calculations, warning against the “situation of vaccum.”
Mliki stipulated that during the meeting Monday of the party parliamentary group under the chairmanship of Nabil Karoui, the focus was placed on the party’s resolution to protect the State’s institutions and cautioning against the repercussions of this political crisis on the economy.
