Echaab MP Heykal Mekki asserted that prime minister Hichem Mechichi is subject to political blackmail from the parties that voted for him.
Some parties and blocs are delivering CVs to Mechichi and new appointments are being made as a result. Among these parties are Qalb Tounes ,Al Karama Coalition and the Lion’s share goes, of course, to the Ennahdha movement, Haykel Mekki revealed in a statement to Mosaqiue FM.
“There are new appointments coming soon, but what is disturbing is that Mechichi is telling the public that his government is one of exception and necessity after the failure of political parties. What independence is he talking about if his government is blackmailed by those who gave him their vote, ”lamented Mekki.
He estimated that the Mechichi team would transform into a political government, which is a scam, considering that it was presented to parliament as a government of independent competences to be transformed later. Morally, this approach is not correct, he concluded.
