Tunisia’s Minister of Health, Mustapha Ferjani, chaired a meeting on Monday to discuss the future of nuclear medicine in the country, as part of broader efforts to modernize the national healthcare system.
During the meeting, officials agreed to update the national health map for nuclear medicine services in both public and private sectors to improve equipment distribution and access to specialized care.
The ministry also decided to expand the use of Positron Emission Tomography (PET-Scan) devices, which play a crucial role in early disease detection, particularly in oncology.
