Weather and climate expert Amer Bahba predicts a significant rise in temperatures in the coming days, coinciding with the Eid al-Adha holiday on Friday, June 6, 2025.
He indicated that the low-pressure systems that characterized the rainy season have effectively ended, and no significant rainfall is expected during the first half of June, with the exception of some localized precipitation in the western highlands.
For Eid al-Adha, temperatures are expected to rise relatively, particularly in the northern and northwestern regions, with temperatures likely to range between 35 and 38°C in some inland areas. Bahba, however, explained that it is not possible to speak of a heatwave in the scientific sense of the term, as the expected rise will be recurrent and temporary, lasting only a few consecutive days.
