The president of the national coronavirus vaccination campaign Hechmi Louzir stated yesterday that drugs against the coronavirus, produced by the Merck and Pfizer laboratories, decrease the risk of death in people with Covid-19 by 80%.
He told the TAP that these drugs have a distinct effect than those designed to relieve symptoms of infection because they directly target the ability of the virus to spread.
Concerning the import of the drugs in question, Louzir said negotiations are currently underway between the Ministry of Health and laboratories wishing to promote their products.
