The Ministry of Health has decided to employ the American Moderna vaccine on the second open vaccination day on Sunday, August 15, according to the head of the vaccination committee Hechmi Louzir.
Speaking to the TAP, Hechmi Louzir said that the ministry has also decided to use the American vaccine Johnson & Johnson, to vaccinate Tunisian students who continue their studies abroad, because it entails only one dose.
Hechmi Louzir emphasised that the usual vaccination centers will continue to administer the vaccines in a normal way for people who will notably receive the second dose. He stated he was optimistic about the development of the epidemiological situation in the country, remarking that if 50% of the population is vaccinated by October the pandemic will be brought under control.
