The first investigating judge of the Tunisian economic and financial judicial division issued an arrest warrant on Monday against a former Minister of Agriculture, implicated in the alleged corruption case surrounding the Henchir Chaâl agricultural estate. The interrogation session was delayed to a later date, while the investigation continued.
This case, marked by suspicions of financial and administrative corruption, has already resulted in arrests. The investigating judge in charge of the case also ordered the imprisonment of several other individuals, including the president of the Sfaxien Sports Club, businessman Abdelaziz Makhloufi, and an administrative executive of the Henchir Chaâl agricultural complex.
