The head of government, Hichem Mechichi, paid tribute on Monday, October 19, 2020, to singer Naâma, who died Sunday at the age of 86.
Mr. Mechichi delivered a eulogy recalling the singer’s career and artistic heritage.
Naâma – née Halima Echeikh – was a very popular Tunisian artist, with a rich musical repertoire of more than 500 songs and poems.
The funeral ceremony took place at the City de la Culture in Tunis.
