In an article published by Le Maghreb on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, the former secretary-general of the UGTT Houcine Abassi called to join efforts to exercise more pressure on the President of the Republic, Kais Saïed in order for him to accept the national dialogue initiative proposed by the trade union.
He emphasised that the situation within the parliament must drive Kais Saïed to assume his historic responsibility to reactivate the UGTT initiative.
