The spokesperson for the National Guard, Houssemeddine Jebabli, affirmed that the management of the fight against terrorism and the specialized unit of the National Guard of Médenine seized a large number of weapons and ammunition during an operation preventive carried out in Ben Guerdane.
Jebabli pointed out that 11 Kalashnikov assault rifles, 14 chargers and 4,400 7.62 mm calibre cartridges were seized.
This action comes after the detention of two people implicated in arms trafficking in this same region, reports Mosaique FM.
