Tunisia-inflation rate will reach 11% in Tunisia

The inflation rate is predicted to surpass the 10% mark in 2023. The observation is unanimous and the governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia, Marouane Abassi, confirmed it this Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

According to his “forecasts”, the inflation rate will continue to rise during the year 2023 to reach 11%, he hinted at a press conference, believing that Tunisia does not have several solutions to fight the increase in inflation.

In this context, he explained the BCT’s decision to raise the key rate of 75 points bringing it to 8% and highlighting that several countries have resorted to the increase in the key rate to combat inflation.
