The Secretary-General of the Democratic Current Ghazi Chaouachi remarked on the legal proceedings that were initiated against him after the dissemination of information relating to the resignation of prime minister t Nejla Bouden and other ministers. “The President of the Republic Kais Saïed has taken the law into his own hands to rule out his adversaries and settle political scores. The Head of State has called on Minister of Justice Leila Jaffel to activate article 23 of the law on multiple occasions against those who do not support his decisions,” he said.
Chaouachi likewise called on Kais Saïed and Leila Jaffel to assume their responsibilities, stating that he will sue the latter for the activation of Article 23.
