The Ministry of the Interior has revealed that the services of the National Research Unit in terrorist crimes have succeeded to thwart a terrorist plan aimed at a security patrol in Sousse with an explosive device, under the direct direction of the public prosecutor of the anti-terrorist judicial pole.
The ministry clarified that the arrested individual acknowledged that he had adopted extremist thinking and had lent allegiance to “Daesh”.
A number of raw materials for manufacturing explosives, a hunting rifle, and ammunition have been seized in the residence of the individual in question.
