Remarking on the opening of an inquiry against some party leaders, the Ennahdha Movement recollected that a complaint has been lodged with the prosecution against the newspaper “Al Anwar” and its officials. The party stated that the party’s legal representative was attended by the relevant teams in association with the case.
The party likewise said the newspaper accused Ennahdha leader Rached Ghannouchi of being the head of a fortune. According to the party, hate speech was publicised by the newspaper. Ennahdha called on the judiciary to settle the matter quickly to protect the movement and its leaders from smear campaigns against them. “These campaigns were at the heart of the acts of violence and the burning of the headquarters of Ennahdha,” the party adds.
Ennahdha also warned against fraudulent information revealing that it will prosecute anyone who attempts to share fake news targeting the party and its leaders.
