President of the Republic Kais Saied spoke by telephone today, Friday, July 16, 2021, with his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella.
During the call, the head of the state expressed his sincere gratitude to the leaders and Italian people, for having supported Tunisia in the face of the pandemic by giving various equipment and medical supplies, part of which has arrived. this morning, July 16, 2021.
The Italian president said his country will not forget Tunisia’s support during the health crisis in Italy last year. He evoked President Saied’s decision to send a delegation of medical and paramedical officials to Italy.
Italy, he said, will spare no effort to assist Tunisia. Large doses of vaccines will be sent as part of an agreement to be signed the following week between the Italian Ministry of Health and one of the manufacturers of these vaccines, he said.
