Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio announced on Wednesday that Italian companies are set to resume operation at Tripoli International Airport, and develop Libya’s largest highway stretching from Tunisia to the Egyptian border.
“We are going to open the eastern section of the highway in Libya in several months, and we have many deals made in the past that we are going to implement,” Di Maio told the Italian Federation of Industries radio.
“The Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Mangoush, will visit Italy on Thursday, and we will organize a business forum between Italian companies and Libyan institutions to build a direct channel for investments,” he adds.
