Jalila Ben Khelil, member of the scientific committee for the fight against Covid, confirmed that the five new cases of infections by the variant, Omicron, were registered during samples taken by the health authorities at Tunis-Carthage Airport.
In a statement to Tunisie Numérique, Ben Khelil clarified that these carriers of this variant are all imported cases. She, on another point, indicated that it is likely that the number of people infected by this virus surpasses five individuals in Tunisia.
