On the sidelines of the press conference of the “Citizens’ Movement against the Coup d’Etat” which should have taken place this morning, Jaouhar Ben M’barek criticised the selection of the date of July 25 (Republic Day) for the announcement of exceptional measures.
Ben M’barek emphasised that their Movement is supported by Democrats throughout the world. He stated that citizens believing in democracy will continue to battle against the perpetrators of the “coup” who are isolating themselves more and more every day, both inside and outside the country.
The current administration is illegal and hence cannot carry out acts that commit the Tunisian state inside or outside the country, he added.
He further said that the power in place has confirmed that it militates for axes against the Arab revolutions, referring to the Emirati-Saudi axis.
