Tunisia – Jendouba: JOZ Group chooses Bousalem as the site for a new factory

The Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA Tunisia) announced that its Director General, Jalel Tebib, met on December 8 in Tunis with a high-level delegation from the JOZ Group, a company specializing in cosmetics and parapharmaceutical products, led by its CEO, Nabeel JOZ.

According to FIPA, the JOZ Group has officially selected the region of Bousalem, in the governorate of Jendouba, as the site for its new industrial facility. The plant will focus on the production of perfumes, cosmetics, and parapharmaceutical products. The project includes the full integration of the production chain—from raw materials to finished goods.

On the Tunisian side, Ms. Nidhal JOZ, the group’s local partner, emphasized the project’s strategic importance for the Bousalem region. She noted that the establishment of this plant would not only create jobs but also stimulate regional growth, foster innovation, and enhance Tunisia’s integration into global value chains in the cosmetics and parapharmaceutical industries.

“The group also expressed its intention to hire specialized technicians and to draw from the local workforce, thereby directly contributing to job creation and skills development in the region,” FIPA reported.

The agency added that following these discussions, Nabeel JOZ reaffirmed his strong interest not only in cosmetics and parapharmaceuticals but also in the automotive sector.

He further reiterated the group’s commitment to investing in major national projects of strategic interest, expressing particular interest in the Taparura project and the Ben Guerdane Free Zone, both presented during the meeting by the FIPA Tunisia team.

Jalel Tebib proposed organizing follow-up meetings with the officials in charge of these projects to explore concrete avenues for collaboration and to ensure that JOZ Group’s investments align with Tunisia’s development priorities.

“The group’s establishment in Tunisia reflects its ambition to strengthen its leadership while gaining access to new markets and resources,” FIPA concluded.
