Tunisia-Jerandi meets with FMs of Qatar, Palestine and Egypt in Amman

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othmen Jerandi had talks Thursday in Amman, Jordan, with his Qatari, Palestinian and Egyptian opposite numbers. This was on the sidelines of an emergency meeting of the Arab Ministerial Committee in charge of international action against illegal Israeli policies and measures in occupied Al-Quds.

The latest developments in Palestinian territories and Al- Quds, in particular, took centre stage as Jerandi met with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki. The two officials stressed the need to come up with an action plan and clear messages for the international community.

Bilateral and multilateral action is also required to unveil occupation schemes designed to judaise gradually the city of Al-Quds.

The talk with Egyptian FM Sameh Chokri offered the opportunity to discuss the recommendations of the emergency meeting. Bilateral relations were also discussed along with preparations for the meeting of the joint commission due in the coming weeks.

Emphasis was laid on the strong relations binding Tunisia and Qatar as Jerandi met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. The FMs said they are determined to scale up relations.

Regional and international developments and the need to step up consultation and coordination was likewise highlighted.
