12 nominee lists, including two partisans, are racing for the partial municipal -elections in Hassi El Ferid at Kasserine governorate.
Nominations for these elections had been unlocked on January 23-30, Regional Coordinator of the Independent Regional Authority for the Elections (IRIE) in Kasserine Adel Gassoumi recollected, adding that all the preparatory lists have been accepted by the authority as the required qualifications have been met.
The ultimate lists will be presented on March 4, after the terminus of the time limits for appeals, he specified.
The election campaign will begin on March 15 and will remain till March 27. The elections will be held on March 29, the same source indicated.
Composed of 18 seats, the Hassi El Ferid municipal council was dissolved when 10 of its members had submitted a collective resignation on December 23, 2019.
