Army units in Kasserine mountains succeeded in thwarting a plot to prepare for a terrorist operation after a sweeping operation in which they discovered suspicious movements.
The sweeping operation uncovered a terrorist camp which comprised of elements and products employed in the composition of homemade explosives. They were neutralized by a military engineering team before being forwarded to the regional counter-terrorism unit.
The found items were to be employed in the production of explosives and anti-personnel mines, which were to be utilised in an attack against the police and soldiers in the region.
