Deputy Secretary-General of the UGTT Monem Amira declared that a general regional strike will be observed on May 26, 2021, in Kasserine to condemn the decay of the social situation and in particular the rise in poverty rates and the lack of development.
The official further revealed that the strike will be observed to denounce the failure of consecutive governments to honour their commitments to the region.
According to Amira, negotiations with the administration will proceed to organize a ministerial council dedicated to the region to find satisfactory solutions.
