Kebili governor Mohamed Taïeb Khelaïfi confirmed in a statement to the press that, as part of protection against the dangers of possible climatic disturbances, tourist activities and excursions towards the Ksar Ghilene region have been halted.
He added that tourists and participants in gatherings in the Douz desert were recommended to exert caution and be present in high-altitude areas.
A warning was likewise issued to exercise caution in areas where rainwater flows, such as Wadi Zamurdin, Wadi Laraj and Wadi Lakhshab in the desert bordering the Ksar Ghilene region.
