The director of the animal production in Kef Houssine Razaigui requested farmers in the region to take the required arrangements to protect their livestock from the blue disease.
He stated that specialized services have taken 4 cattle head samples to analyse in the following regions: Sakiet Sidi Youssef, Tarjouine and KEF infection. He said that disease syndromes nasal flow and loss of appetite have been recorded.
The chief of animal production asked breeders to take preventative measures adapted to the situation, such as the usage of insecticides and the drying up of stagnant waters to decimate the biting mosquitoes which propagate the virus.
