Head of the plant production department under the regional commission for agricultural development, Emna Barbouch revealed that the quantities of cereals gathered in the governorate of Kef since the beginning of the harvest season and until August 4 have reached almost 549 thousand quintals.
Production is divided between 424,517 quintals of durum wheat, 33,960 quintals of soft wheat and 90,236 quintals of barley, she said. In this regard, the official pointed out that a considerable quantity of barley is traded on parallel markets, revealing that the harvest season, this year, continues until August 31st.
