The Regional Director of Civil Protection in Kef, Raouf Marwani, confirmed the intervention of emergency responders following a severe road accident on Tuesday morning, June 18, 2024. The incident involved a fuel smuggling truck colliding with a motorcycle at the “Khanqat Al-Atash” intersection in the Tajerouine delegation.
The accident resulted in the passing of two brothers (aged 23 and 24) who were riding a motorcycle on the spot. The truck driver and his companions received first aid and were moved to the Kef regional hospital.
Later, the truck driver died from the numerous wounds he suffered, while injuries of varying severity were recorded for his two companions.
