The attorney and member of the committee for the defence of the martyrs Chokri Belaïd and Mohamed Brahmi, Kouthair Bouallague talked about the comments announced yesterday by the members of the committee for the defense of the martyrs Chokri Belaïd as well as those of Ennahdha Movement who reacted to accusations brought against it.
Stating that foreign parties are implicated in the political assassination case, Bouallague accused the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSM) of having shielded terrorists and suspects.
He called, in the same context, the Head of State Kais Saied to interfere in this regard. The lawyer voiced his displeasure with the current composition of the CSM while highlighting the significance of respecting the independence of the judiciary. “We must rectify the current composition of the CSM and its prerogatives,” he said, underlining that the CSM did not meet the expectations of the defence committee.
