Qalb Tounes requested on Thursday, March 18, 2021, a meeting with the Presidents of the Republic, the House speaker, the prime minister, the Superior Council of the Magistracy and some national organizations including the UGTT and UTICA to examine the case of the leaked recording of Mohamed Ammar.
Party members reemphasised in their statement that the leaked recording demonstrates political pressure in the case of Nabil Karoui, the party chairman, calling the leaked remarks “dangerous”.
On Tuesday, March 16, 2021, a preliminary investigation was opened by the prosecution into the leaked recording case.
