The Democratic current said that legal proceedings were engaged again against the party’s secretary general Ghazi Chaouachi on the orders of the Minister of Justice Leila Jaffel.
The party clarified that Chaouachi will be prosecuted according to decree-law n ° 2022-54 of September 13, 2022, relating to the fight against offences relating to information and communication systems.
The Democratic current voiced its solidarity with its leader as well as all Tunisians victims of harassment and police violence while denouncing the breach of rights and freedoms by the President of the republic Kais Saïed ”and his assistants”.
