The Appeals Chamber at the Tunis Court of Appeal has decided to delay the examination of the case known as “lobbying” filed against the Ennahdha Movement, its leader, Rached Ghannouchi, and his son-in-law, Rafik Bouchlaka, at the meeting of May 17, and to transmit the file to the attention of the management responsible for examining financial corruption files.
As a reminder, the court of first instance of Tunis had condemned Rached Ghannouchi and Rafik Bouchlaka, in their capacity as those responsible for external relations to the Ennahda movement, to three years in prison, accompanied by financial fines surpassing one million dinars, and a financial fine equivalent to the amount of the offence perpetrated in foreign currency, calculated in Tunisian dinars.
