Tahya Tounes chose to freeze more memberships, said Tahya Tounes newly-elected deputy on Medinine constituency Mabrouk Korchid.
Earlier, Tahya Tounes suspended the official membership of 31 local deputies from the party national council.
The ruling was delivered in light of results of the recent legislative and presidential elections and as part of the evaluation of the party overall performance.
Those who saw their membership frozen will be taken before the party’s disciplinary commission, he added.
The party is determined to keep Youssef Chahed as it president, Korchid maintained.
