Tunisia manufactures light aircrafts “Rallye” and “Sea Storm”

After Enova Robotics, another Tunisian marvel is promising a great boom on international markets: Avionav.

The company, which manufactures and markets  light aircrafts, has obtained approval to sell its products in Portugal.

Avionav CEO Fouad El Kame told private radio station Mosaïque FM, on Saturday, that hundreds of planes manufactured by his company are already flying in North and South America as well as in Africa and Europe.

The company is now working on its certification in Poland, he added.

The CEO also spoke of the two new aircraft models, designed by 100% Tunisian skilled workers: “Rallye” and “Sea Storm” (a seaplane).

CEO of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia) Jalel Tebib pointed out that the sector of aircraft spare parts is very prosperous   in Tunisia.

80 Tunisian companies are active in the aeronautical industry, the same source said, adding that the sector employs 17,000 workers and contributes to 4% of the country’s GDP.
