Health Minister Faouzi Mehdi stressed the increase in the number of patients admitted to hospitals, particularly in the ICU units.
He indicated that the increase shows the threat of a third wave of the Coronavirus. Hence, he called on citizens to receive the vaccine and enrol on the Evax digital platform to curb the spread of the Coronavirus and limit its consequences.
Mehdi further revealed that this increase is due to the detection of the new British variant in certain areas.
