Hammam Sousse Municipal Council was formally dissolved after the closing of the legal deadlines (15 days) following the collective resignation of 18 municipal councillors out of a total of 24, according to former municipal council president Leila Golli.
The resignations come after the rape of a 16-year-old minor by 8 officials operating in the municipality in question.
It should be remembered that the investigating judge had already issued warrants of detention against 7 officials implicated in this case for indecent exposure, rape of a minor boy and sexual harassment.
