The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad announced Friday that Minister Mohamed Ali Nafti will participate tomorrow, Saturday, in Cairo, in a consultative meeting to discuss the latest developments in Libya and the efforts made by neighboring countries.
The ministry stated in its statement that Mr. Nafti’s participation in this meeting, alongside his Egyptian and Algerian counterparts, is based on “the historical fraternal ties uniting Tunisia and Libya and on Tunisia’s unwavering support for the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people for security, stability, and development.”
The meeting will examine the latest developments in Libya and the efforts made by Tunisia, Egypt, and Algeria, neighboring countries, as well as the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), to continue supporting and encouraging intra-Libyan dialogue. It will also examine ways to promote a consensual political solution among Libyans, strengthening the pillars of security, stability, and development in Libya, under the auspices and support of the United Nations. The meeting will be attended by Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
