Reflecting on the article published on the British website the Middle East, Democratic Current member Mohamed Hamdi stated yesterday that if democracy is threatened, the threat cannot come from either Kais Saied or Mohamed Abbou.
The true threat is this dreadful performance of government institutions after the fall of the Fakhfekh government, in a situation characterised by the spread of the coronavirus and an acute financial crisis, he denounced.
Losing people’s faith in democracy is the actual danger, Hamdi stated, adding that coup d’etat cannot be carried out through constitutional texts.
