Tunisian President-elect Kais Saied was sworn in before the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) today in the attendance of MPs, former Heads of State and Prime Ministers, diplomats accredited in Tunisia as well as representatives of national authorities and organisations. However formver president Moncef Marzouki was among the absentees.
Marzouki published a Facebook status explaining that private commitments hindered his presence as he is currently outside Tunisia.
