A video filmed this Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Lafayette in the capital reveals two individuals violently detained by the police. It shows the police effectively taking a woman who was accompanied by her child in a vehicle.
The scene of violence was broadly shared on social media, sparking a stir among internet users. The latter was angry against the force exerted particularly since there is a child and that the offences of the lady do not explain such violence.
The Interior Ministry reacted in a statement to the incident stating the patrol has arrested the aforementioned individuals because they are the subject of multiple wanted scam notices.
The ministry said in the same statement that the defendant took the child and her “alleged” husband away to escape police control.
