Tunisia Named Arab Tourism Capital for 2027

At the 28th session of the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism, held today in Baghdad, Tunisia was selected as the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2027.

This distinction represents Arab recognition of Tunisia’s rich tourism assets, both cultural and archaeological, and highlights its unique character in the fields of arts, crafts, heritage, as well as urban and architectural creativity.

It also comes in the wake of Tunisia’s inclusion in UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network for 2026, as stated on the official page of the Ministry of Tourism.
